I heard your broadcast on Family Life Today last night. I will be picking up your book soon and recommending it to others. Thanks for sharing. It was refreshing to such honesty and the truth that we need to surround ourselves with protection. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I see this issue as being key to helping many in the church find healing.

The facilitator of our Celebrate Recovery program at Southwest Community Church always announces his name and that he struggles with lust, as well as with a host of other sins. It seems it is more acceptable to admit to drug and alcohol addiction, but to amit to lust is more stigmatizing and exactly why many in the church suffer silently.

Ironically, Southwest, which is a 6,000 member church in Indian Wells, just a few years ago went through a trying time when the pastor had compromised his position. It took a great toll on the church and they have managed to recover but the issues which brought the compromise are yet to be understood, discussed and learned from. In a lot of ways the same process was taking place in this church, were the same processes which took place traveling: no accountability, no process of knowing the right choices.

I believe all these processes have everything to do with us understanding our purpose while we are here on Earth and our exposing and internalizing the mission, which Christ has given us along with finding victory among many counselors.

By the way, I too have been involved with Community Bible Study for over ten years.

I read Road Warrior in the last few weeks and it has rocked my world. At last, someone has written honestly about the spiral into sexual addiction for business travelers. And, yes, I'm a woman.

I so appreciate how you included women in your book. I suffered years of sexual abuse as a child and in the last year began to deal with the other side of that coin - I am addicted to lust in several forms but predominately in sexual fantasy, masturbation and porn. I have traveled for nearly a decade as a sales rep and fundraiser - attempting to swallow up the ache of my loneliness in career success and travel. And I have come to my end. Reading the book has scared me to death and I am out looking for another job and seeking to "come home" and deal with my issues.

I live in the Chicago area and am shocked at the lack of resources for women who struggle. Especially in the effort to find other women to be accountable with. (If you have suggestions of help for women strugglers I would be so grateful for them.) Are there other Road Warrior women in the Chicago area that you know of?

So many things hit home as I read. Most helpful for me was the question - what is driving me? The truthful answer - loneliness, fear, and success. Plain and simple. This past week as I walked through the airport, channel surfed alone in a hotel, hoped for an empty seat next to me on the plane, listened to the woman behind me literally tell her story of workaholism and travel to another in the next seat - I realized the truth of travel, loneliness and ego - even in coach.

Thank you again for including women. God has used you to speak into my life and confirm the need to make some radical changes.

This book clearly depicts people addicted to success. RW thrive on the 'highs' of fame, power or achievement. God plays no part in this lifestyle. Money, control and adulation are their gods.

Why do some people have wake up calls and other's continue in a downward spiral, never recognizing how sad they have become?

Would like to hear more from the loved ones of unwitting RWs.

My husband and i have found great shelter in your sound advice not to be lead astray and beyond our boundaries in the Lord. There is such deep strength that can be found if there is a nice calm in the midst of a deep storm. Through your work, our family has seen shadows removed. Your call to conviction rings true, deep in the of sound doctrine.
